The Daily Safety Cross Chart is tool used like a calendar to see safety problems.
Have a daily huddle or daily meeting.
Have a team area. Using existing whiteboards create an area for the team to keep score. You’ll need this to place the safety cross so the team can visually see how they are doing.
Identify the standards. Green = Safe Day; Yellow = Near Miss; Red = OSHA Recordable; Blue = Improvement.
Use the Safety Cross Overlay. Use a overlay like this one within your team area, along with a red, green, yellow and blue dry erase marker, you can start to use your safety cross right away! Remember, each number on the safety cross represents a day in the month. If you don’t work weekends, just leave the weekends blank, cross them out, or color them green!
